1st and foremost I feel like my items are safe here, 2ndly the staff was very helpful welcoming and friendly. From what I understand even tho they have standard business hours someone is on the premises 24hrs/day.

Kim is absolutely the nicest lady, very good customer service. She was very accommodating to me and went over everything very clearly so I understood my lease. The facilities are clean and spacey, pricing is competitively good. I'm glad I chose this place to put my things.

Smells a lot like moth balls, but otherwise very clean with easy in/out loading.

I have rented multiple units from Mrs. Kim over several years and she has always made it an easy and pleasant process! If I need to store anything this is always were I will go.

When I Say Awesome, I mean awesome!! The office was locked when I arrived, the signage on the door told me EXACTLY where to find an employee. I pulled around the property and found the golf cart and Ms. Kim just as the signage said. She was actually at a unit that I needed to look at. I was satisfied, and we went to the office to get rented and I was done. The property and office is very clean, she explained all the rules and the reasons. Thank you for SUCH A SMOOTH transaction. I definitely recommend this place.

Wow! Southern Self Storage ..both South and West locations..have made a significant upgrade in enployees at these particular stores! Kimberly, at the Slidell South location, and Joe n Dana at the Slidell West location are absolutely some of the nicest people I have come across in a very long time! Now, I'm not always the most punctual person...mostly because I haven't been in business like this before...but these special people are patient and Oh so helpful... whether I'm buying a locker by auction or renting one to use! The property manager there in Slidell Mrs.Kim is a wonderful person she have good good customer service and I will recommend the storage unit to anybody. I don’t live in the area I’m from Mississippi but Mrs. Kim is the best person I ever met she have a pleasant attitude. Her personality and customer service make you want to rent a unit there. What can I say... it's a storage unit. You rent, store your stuff, lock. But what I can say, is the people working for Southern Self Storage are very nice. I opened an account, bought a lock and followed the woman as she walked me around to show me my unit and made sure it was what I needed. I was satisfied and I then walked back to my car. Not a moment later, the representative comes out to my car and hands me a key chain and says to me, "you know, most people tend to forget the number of their unit when they come back... so I thought I'd write it on this key chain for you so you don't forget. That stuck with me. I'd always rent from them because of that moment.

Very easy process to setup storage. Units are clean, well laid out and easy to get in and out of. Large driveways.

Excellent customer service!

Closing on two houses (buying and selling) on the same day sometimes presents challenges. One being, moving twice. Once into storage, and then again into the new house. No one enjoys the actual process of moving, much less moving a full 4-bedroom house TWICE. Thankfully, there was availability at Southern Self Storage and we were able to rent not just 1, but 2, climate controlled units for all of our stuff. Their staff was helpful, and the facilities were always clean. With COVID-19, the staff would make routine trips into the units to disinfect handles of the flatbed carts, which was nice to see. Despite the annoyance of multiple moves, we had a great experience with Southern Self Storage and would use them again in the future should the need arise.

I looked at a number of storage units in Slidell. This was by far the nicest and cleanest storage facility I found. An added bonus was the friendly management. They got me in a unit quickly. Mr Scott was a please to work with. As well as Ms. Erica.

I rented a unit at S^5 today. The units are clean and the prices are fair. The people behind the counter were very helpful, professional and courteous. I was treated almost as though we were long time friends - something not seen very often anymore. My recommendation is to go to S^5 for your storage needs.

I have been with Southern Self Storage long before it was that and my experience is fantastic. The owner/manager Scott has been great from the very beginning helping me to decide what I really needed in terms of space for what I wanted to store. Never had any issues with security or ease of use. Even if I forgot my bill was due I would get a reminder about my due date. Can’t ask for more than that! Top notch in my book.

Ive been using this storage facility for over 6 years. Its clean, taken care of and i know my things are safe. The manager, Scott, has always been so great. He has always been there to help me with whatever i needed over the years. When i go in to pay, we usually end up talking for awhile about any and everything, whats up with the kiddos, whats new, and whatever else like u would visiting family or an old friend. You are definitely not just another customer. Its nice to get that kind of personable treatment, especially since exceptional customer service is certainly becoming a thing of the past. Im in the process of moving out of state now, but since im downsizing to an RV, i will still have the things i cannot take in this facility because of the wonderful service i have always received from Scott, regardless of the companys name on the building. There have been quite a few changes since I've been there, but Scott has consistently been the same exceptional manager since day one. Thanks!

Had a unit for 3 years, great service and always available even after hours, manager would meet me after hours. Always clean facilities and get security for all your goods. I moved my stuff to the Slidell storage unit after military even living in small apartment in Metairie.

I needed a unit ASAP on Christmas Eve! I didn't know if anyone could accommodate. Thank God the manager lives on site and takes his job seriously! I was able to go from talking with him on the phone, to meeting him, to moving all my belongings in the same afternoon. One extra bonus, Scott (manager) called me a few days later, I guess just doing his daily rounds, and alerted me that my lock wasn't secure. Wow! That's the point I knew he actually did check. Fortunately, I had removed all my possessions by that time, I didn't need the storage for long but glad to know he cares. Highly recommend

He has been in the business for a number and of years and understands your needs and makes signing up and getting your belongings stored as quick and easy. I used this storage facility when it was previously owned by another company and was pleased to see the same faces! Scott is the sweetest! I hate moving, but this place makes the process easier with the friendly faces and climate controlled storage units.

I used this storage facility for over a year. Originally, they were A-1 storage and then purchased by Cubesmart. The manager, Scott Sorensen, stayed the same for the entire time I had a unit. The facility is tidy and clean. Scott was extremely friendly and helpful during the move-in, change over of owners and move-out. Access to the facility normally closes at 10 pm. When it looked like my movers would take longer, Scott made sure they knew he would keep the facility open longer to let them finish up which I really appreciated. I highly recommend this facility and I would use them again if I'm in the area.
